Özgür Gültekin was born in Istanbul in 1982. He graduated from four undergraduate programs: Istanbul University in Astronomy and Space Sciences, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Mathematics, Anadolu University in Philosophy, and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Statistics. He received his master's degree from the Istanbul University Department of Physics High Energy and Plasma Physics Program with his thesis on "Ion-Cyclotron Resonance in Solar Corona Plasma." He earned his doctorate with his thesis on "Statistical Description of Magnetic Plasmas and Magnetic Fusion" under the co-supervision of Ecole Polytechnique in France and the Istanbul University Department of Physics High Energy and Plasma Physics Program.
While pursuing his master's and PhD studies, Gültekin taught General Physics Practice and Laboratory courses in various engineering departments at Istanbul University Faculty of Engineering for five years. From July 8-21, 2013, he participated in a meeting in France on "Reduced Models of Complex Plasma Dynamics" with a scholarship from CEA (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives). Additionally, he is one of the authors of the textbook "Quantum Mechanics (with Mathematica Applications)" published by Alfa Publishing in 2021. He has national and international publications and is a member of the American Mathematical Society. His research areas include plasma physics, stochastic systems, quantum physics, and the philosophy of science. His work focuses on the intersection of physics, mathematics, and philosophy.
